First Place Love Race

Joey and Monica’s story takes them from WNY to NYC, Maryland, Texas, and everywhere in between. As an award winning marathon runner with a heart bigger than all of the miles on his shoes combined, it only made sense that Joey would find his other half in the world of running. Monica and Joey both ran in college and crossed paths throughout the years but it was one fateful “Mighty Mile” in Orchard Park that sealed the deal for both of them. After dating long distance to building a life together in Rochester, Joey ran the Austin Marathon in 2023 (engagement ring in tow!!) and popped Monica the question at the finish line. It has been the sweetest pleasure getting to know these two and I am SO excited for what the future has in store! Cheers to a lifetime of love, Basil hugs, good beer, and long runs!

**SPECIAL VENDOR SHOUTOUT TO FATIMA OF SILK BRIDAL!! Just as Monica was getting into her dress for her first look with Joey, her wedding dress zipper went off track. Every bride’s worse nightmare came flooding into reality but Monica stayed so elegantly calm while Fatima threw on her super hero cape and came to the rescue. I CANNOT give this beautiful bride and incredible seamstress enough credit for working through such a stressful situation!! Shoutout to Monica’s bridesmaids for their love and support!! All you ladies ROCK!
